Mental health and Sexuality during academic life

Sexuality is an essential part of one’s personality. It is not always stable, as it can change over time. It is a broad concept that encompasses various aspects. Namely, sexual orientation, sexual identity, biological sex, social sex, etc.

Sexual orientation is indicative of the sex for which there is sexual attraction. Describes a pattern of sexual attraction and behavior.

Sexual identity refers to the definition of sex and attraction. Includes the person’s perception of his/her identity, his/her sexual feelings and sexual expectations, his/her socially expressed identity.

Sexual expression is embedded in sexual identity and refers to the way we communicate our sex to others through our behavior.
