Any Text to Voice

Any Text to Voice is Text to Speech application, with the ability to convert text to speech audio files (mp3, wav, etc) It contains a voice in Greek, Stefanos from Microsoft.

DDreader

DDreader is an application for reading DAISY 3.0 format ebook files. The application user interface is designed to aid people with vision difficulties. For this reason, only three colors are used, black, white and yellow. For audio reading, a synthetic voice must be installed. The application supports Microsoft SAPI 5.

Natural Reader

Natural Reader is a Text to Speech application. Greek language is not available, but it is suitable for converting English documents to speech.

Voice Note II

Voice Note II is a voice recognition application, for converting Speech to Text. It converts to text what the user speaks. It is suitable for entering text through voice, instead of typing it. The software requires a microphone connected to the computer

Select and Speak

Select and Speak is a Google Chrome add-on for converting Text to Speech. It converts to audio, whetever text the user has selected on the screen. It includes several voices: Greek, English, German, Spanish, Turkisn and more. The options menu allows the selection of the voice and its speed.

NVDA Portable

NVDA detects any visible or hidden text on the graphical user interface (icons, buttons, options catalogues, dialogue boxes, lists, message boxes) of the computer and sends them to the Text to Speech installed software. As a result, the user can sense and navigate through the graphical interface though audio and can listen to text. It contains an integrated speech synthesizer (eSpeak), which in turn supports many languages, including Greek. It supports SAPI4 and SAPI5 as well as espeak. The computer applications it primarily supports are: Outlook Express, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Word, Excel, Calculator. It can also be executed through usb, without installation.

Dspeech

Το DSpeech είναι μια εφαρμογή με δυνατότητα αναγνώρισης ομιλίας. Μπορεί επίσης να συνεργαστεί με εφαρμογή Μετατροπής Κειμένου σε Ομιλία ώστε να εκφωνούνται τα κείμενα. Διαχειρίζεται αρχεία τύπου TXT, DOC και PDF. Υποστηρίζει SAPI 4 και SAPI 5. Αποθηκεύει αρχεία κειμένου σε αρχεία ήχου σε μορφή WAV ή MP3/ Επίσης αποθηκεύει τα αρχεία PDF και σε TXT. Υποστηρίζει και ελληνικά εάν έχει εγκατασταθεί η ελληνική φωνή. Εκφωνεί κείμενα από το clipboard. Εκτελείτε και σε command mode (χωρίς  γραφικό περιβάλλον με εκτέλεση εντολών). Υποστηρίζει πολλές γλώσσες όπως:Ελληνικά, Αγγλικά, Ιταλικά, Ισπανικά, Γαλλικά, Γερμανικά.

AMIS

AMIS allows the user to listen to DAISY format ebooks. The supported formats are DAISY 2.02 and DAISY 3. It can support any language, depending on the supported language of the SAPI 5 speech synthesizer. It does not contain an integrated speech synthesizer.

RoboBraille

RoboBraille is a website on which text files can be uploaded (docx, pfd, pptx, txt, jpg κ.α.) and converted to speech audio files (mp3),  ebook format or  Braille code.
